Hey guys! Today is day 3 and it is the Crazy 8's Contest, the first official STN competition. It was a very very super busy and as you can say stressful day. There were two teams who competed today. The broadcast team and the film team. Like I said in recent blogs, Crazy 8's is a completion where you have 8 hours to film and edit a film about a topic you are given. The broadcast team did a news magazine on science and technology and the film team, the one I'm in, did a short film on a video called True measurement. Basically, our Oreo was on how a bully is constantly bullying a rich girl and the rich girl and her friends always think she's mean and rude. But then, they realize the bully bullies because the fact that she is poor. Then, the rich girl helps put the bully by getting her some food and the bully ends up being nice. That shows the "true measurement" of a person. Overall, I think we did a pretty good job filming and getting a good story but one bad news that happened was at the end when we needed to turn in our video. After editing, we had a few minutes to turn it in. Unfortunately the exporting took forever and we were super stressing we won't make the deadline. But, guess what!? We made it!!! We were so happy for each other and I think our practices really payed off. After a relief day, we ended the day with dinner with our pen pals. My pen pal was Macy and she gave me the coolest gift. She gave me a hat and other cool things. After a delicious dinner, we went to the opening ceremony for STN and it was cool because it had cool lights and loud music. Then, we went up to our hotel room and had a good night sleep after a great day. Now, we're ready for the next big competition coming tomorrow. Overall, I really learned good teamwork and experience a very stressful but at the same time excited feeling during crazy 8's. So that is it for today and I'll see you guys on a very awesome day tomorrow. Bye!
