Hey guys! Welcome back to my blogs. For this week's blog topic, I'm going to talk to you about my first STN Crazy 8's practice. I kinda mentioned it in a few blogs, but if you don't know, it is another competition that our class is in besides the other STN competition. Also, there are the film team and the broadcast team. Yes, I did get selected in the film team so I'll be going to talk to you about my team along the way. I'll be talking about pros and cons that happened as well.
So let's start off with some cons. There weren't quite that many cons but there was one specific one that I'd like to mention. So, the con is that our team never quite checked or tested some of our equipment. For example, for our audio, we wanted to use the boom mic, but unfortunately, to work the boom mic you need to connect it to its matching sennheiser which we didn't have.
Now for the pros. First off, there were many pros that happened during our practice. We got good shots, we had good edits, and mainly everyone worked together as a team. In my film team were Kaycee, Shaelyn, Javlynn, Kolten, Napua, Mia M, and me. I really enjoyed working with this team because they're hard workers and great teammates. Overall, I think we all did a great job in everything we did, and I think we all shared the work equally. Also, no one put anyone down, and no one was left out.
Now we got those down let's talk about things we can improve on. Like I said earlier, we forgot to check our equipment. So, before the trip, we need to make sure we have the right equipment and make sure it works. In addition, another thing that we need to work on is coming up with a more clear and understandable story. For example, the ideas and topics we came up with were good, but the only problem was that the story kinda didn't make sense.
In conclusion, our team did an awesome job and and I think this was a very useful and helpful practice. Also, to answer Mr. M's question, I don't really know a name but I was thinking "Mr. M's Mentions." Anyways, that's all the time I have for this blog so I'll see you in my next one!
