Hey Guys! Have you ever tried to do something that you thought would be pretty easy, but it actually turned out that is was pretty hard? Well, that has happened to me in my media class before. Let me tell you on how I thought that my Inside Scoops would be easy but actually was quite difficult.
First, I thought that Inside Scoops would be easy because I thought Mr. M would give us the scripts for us to just sit and record the schools' announcements. However, my partner and I had to get our scripts correct information ourselves by looking up the schools website and even calling the schools' themselves. It wasn't too easy because not all schools had information for us.
After we had gathered the correct information to make our scripts, our next step was to record it. Recording was another challenge when doing our Inside Scoops. I thought, we just would record what was written but there was more to it. Instead of just reading the information, we had to use a radio voice. That means when speaking we have to sound excited and not boring. It was hard because using a radio voice is not my normal way of talking.
The next difficult thing about radios is meeting deadlines. It is due a week before our Inside Scoop is aired. It was difficult because we had a problem because KIF changed their schedule at the last minute. Not meeting the deadlines is difficult and stressful for not only us, but also the DJ of the radio station. He also has a deadline to meet.
In conclusion, this is an example of what I thought would be easy but it actually turned out quite difficult. But because this was my first experience, I know what to expect the next time I do Inside Scoops.
