Hey guys! For this week's blog topic, I'll be talking to you about 3 pieces of advice I want to share with the new CKTV 6th graders next year. Have you ever heard of ,"Dear Abby?" Well that was when a women named Abigail would give advice to people who ask for advice about anything. So, here is my 3 pieces of advice I'd like to share with those new incoming students.
First off, I want to tell the new students DO NOT PROCRASTINATE! As my first year experience I can tell you that one of the biggest things that stopped me from doing my best was procrastinating. Procrastinating is when someone has a task to be done at a certain time or deadline, and for some reason the person could be lazy and procrastinate and do it at the last minute. Laziness and procrastination is one of your biggest fears. So, I'm advising you to not be like me and procrastinate. Instead, don't be lazy and get your work done on time!
This next piece of advice might be a bit confusing but it's also important so bare with me. That pice of advise is ALWAYS ASK FOR HELP when it is needed. For me, this is really important because I am kinda shy when I'm around new friends so I don't talk much. This year in media, there are many, many events and activities that would be happening. Some can be new to you so it could be a bit confusing. But, if you need help with anything like learning how to edit, film, do radios, or morning announcements, you need to ask someone wether it's your partner, another returned student or even Mr.M. Otherwise, you will be stressed out or very confused on what's going on.
Finally, my last advise is kinda obvious but very important and that is too ALWAYS BE PREPARED in the many projects you do! As a student myself, there are many times where you are gonna be challenged some how. That's why I'm telling you to be prepared in anything you do. Be ready! I promise you if you if you are prepared you will be confident in yourself and do the best you can in anything!
In conclusion, here is my 3 pieces of advice I feel that you new CKTV students should use. I think these pieces of advise will definitely help you and like I said, If you follow this advise I think you will have a great time in this class. Trust me, this class will challenge you but it is one of the funnest class I've ever had!
