Hey guys! Today for this blog I'll be talking to you about a very interesting and very common topic we all do which is PROCRASTINATION! The reason I chose this topic is because in media, it happens all the time. Let's be honest, we all do it. Some more than others but we all have done it before. Especially me! If you don't know, procrastination is to put off an action till another day or time or a delay of action. I want to share this video so that not only I can learn how to prevent procrastination, but also anyone who is reading this blog too. So, here is a pretty interesting video and I hope you enjoy.
Hey guys! Welcome back to my blogs! Have you ever been challenged in your life! For me, I have some kind of challenge in my life every day. Today I'l be talking to you about three challenges that has faced me so far in this media class. Here it is.
First off, this is a since I'm a returnee student that means I a mentor. This school year in media it is my job to teach my new awesome partner, Lukas, everything that he needs to know to become a successful student. I need to teach Lukas all the things that he is expected to do by Mr. M. So, I'll do my best to try and help him everyday by answering any questions or concerns say. I think this will be a big challenge for me but I think I could do it.
Next, I think that my first quarter project has been a challenge so far. This year instead of working with Lukas, I'm working with Kai who is another returning student. What makes it challenging is that our video was excepted to PBS Hawaii to air on Hiki Nō. So, Kai and I have the earliest deadline which is on September 5 which is less then two weeks. Also, since it's on Hiki Nō, we need to make it our best possible quality video as well. That's why it will be a challenge for Kai and I to make a really high quality video but I think we could achieve it. So, that's why I think my first quarter project is a big challenge so far!
My last but not least challenge for this quarter so far is procrastination. I procrastinate a lot and I already procrastinated in some projects and it's only the first month. For example, in blogs I would end up procrastinating and doing it at the last minuet. So, I think that preventing procrastination is a challenge but it is possible if I stay focused.
In conclusion, Those are three challenges for me in my media class so far. Hopefully I will tackle these challenges at the end of the quarter. So, that's all the time I have today. Thanks for reading and I'll see you guys in next week's blogs.
Hey guys! Today I'll be talking to you about another DC Movie that will be coming out soon called "The Justice League." By the way, if you don't know me, my favorite movies are DC and Marvel superhero movies. This movie is similar to another famous Marvel movie called the Avengers. But this movie is like DC's Avengers. The Justice League is a superhero team made up of the superheros Batman, Superman, Cyborg, The Flash, Aquaman, and Wonder Woman. Although in the comics Superman is in the Justice League but at this time, he is dead. But, this Justice league has to defeat this enemy who is taking over the world. I am very excited to watch this movie. Here's the trailer.
Hey guys!! Welcome back to another blog. For today's topic I'll be updating you about my first quarter project. So, for the first quarter, me and my partner Kai are doing a Hiki Nō story called "Rocket Strong." It's about a boy named Kaikea Rocket Ahuna who has brain cancer. The workers at PBS Hawaii liked this film story and wanted our story to air on Hiki Nō. So, let me update you on how Kai and I are doing so far.
First of all, I liked to say that Kai and I are doing a great job staying focused and not being behind. So far, we are done with all the interviews and most of the b-roll. We also have a First draft as week. Also, me and Kai are doing a good job meeting deadlines so far. Our final deadline for this project is on September 5. I think if Kai and I are focused and we keep working at this pace, we could get another draft done before the final draft.
Now, the things we need to get done are finishing up b-roll and our editing. Kai and I scheduled our last date of filming b-roll this Monday so hopefully we could get more than enough b-roll for us to edit with. I think that if we get good b-roll and enough b-roll than we could have an easy time while we edit. Also, we do have a first draft. But, we had little time to do that so it is not that strong. So, I hope I don't procrastinate and do the editing on time.
Finally, like I said we still need to get editing done. One of my goals for this quarter was to get one or two drafts done before the final dead line. Therefore, we could get more feedback from Mr. M and also other classmates as well. That will help our project be more better and have less mistakes.
In conclusion, here is an update on my project for this quarter. Like I said, I think Kai and I are doing a great job staying on time. As long as we stay focused, not procrastinate and do our best, I think this will be a great story. Don't forget to look on my "Projects" page to see what we got done too. Anyways, hope you enjoyed this week's blog. See you later!
Hey guys! For this year's first free blog, I'll be talking to you about an awesome movie I have recently watched called "Suicide Squad." Honestly, this movie is my favorite DC movie so far. If you don't know, Suicide Squad is a DC movie directed by David Ayer. It is about a U.S officer named Amanda Waller who is assembling a team of the most dangerous super villains in the world for a very important mission. Their mission is to learn to work together so they could save the world from this unknown villain. The team is made by the super villains, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang Killer Croc, El Diablo, and Slipknot. They are leaded by a U.S Soldier named Rick flag and also a samurai named Katana. So, I highly recommend you watch this movie and I am sure you would enjoy it. Here's the trailer.
Hey guys and a big welcome back to my blogs! It's a new school year and you know what that means, new year, new goals! This year in media I have a bunch of goals that I hope to achieve this year. So, it has been a while since I've done blogs but let's get right into it!
My first goal for this year is to be a good mentor to my partner, Lukas. Lukas is a new student in this class and he is a very friendly and cool kid. I am super excited to work with Lukas in our quarter projects, inside scoops, and many more things. Last year, my mentor, Dalson, was a very helpful and friendly partner as well. He showed me what it's like being a good parter. So this year, it's my turn to step it up and be a helpful parter to Lukas. This year, I hope me and Lukas will have fun working together and I hope we get to know each other more.
My next goal for this year is to never procrastinate. Last year in media I learned if you procrastinate, be lazy, and wait until the last minute to do projects, I learned things will not turn out good. You could get a bad grade or you could even forget about doing a project. It could also lead to a lot of stress. So this year, I now know to not procrastinate and wait until the last minute.
Last but not least, this school year I want to take my time, be patient, and produce the best possible work I can do. This year I know the expectations in this media class, so now, I want to do my best work and make my best possible work I do in all my projects. In our class, we have and go by a model and it is "Going from GOOD to GREAT." That means to not just be good, but to your best to make it best as possible. This year I'm gonna use this model to help me in my work.
In conclusion, here are my three big goals for this school year. Again, I am super excited to be in this awesome class and I am looking forward to working with my partner Lukas and the rest of the class. I am super excited for the many fun activities we'll do together. Anyways, welcome back and I'll see you guys in my next weeks blogs!
