Hey guys! Aron here with his last free blog before the summer. It is kinda sad thinking were almost done with school. But, guess what is just around the corner..... SUMMER BEAK! Summer break, where you adventure, relax, enjoy yourself, and let your childhood free. So, for my free blog for this year I just want to share with you a quick music video from one of my childhood friends, Olaf the Snowman. (Yeah, I have am a little childish.) Anyways, hope you guys have a great summer!
Hey guys!!! Can you believe this is my last week of school! Time went by super fast! But not only is it our last week of school, it is also our last set of blogs for this school year! Yup, it's hard to say. I'll be missing all these sixth grade memories in this school and also in my CKTV Media class. But don't worry! I'll be returning next year. But anyways, summer is just around the corner so we were asked what was our summer goals this year. But not just any summer goals, summer goals that will help improve me in my media class. So, here it is.
So, the first goal I want to improve on is improving my editing skills. How will I do that? Well, if your a friend of mine or you follow me on Instagram, you would know I love making small edits of anything. For example, I'll do small edits about an adventure I had like, hiking, going to beaches, traveling, or just anything. I would edit me doing a cool trickshot or soccer skill I learned also. So now that I learned more cool and advanced things, I hope when I do short edits, I can practice what I learned using Final Cut Pro and improve my editing skills in an app I use on my phone called iMovie.
Next, this goal is something I've been working on the whole year and that is procrastination. I do like to procrastinate in work and I think that is one of the biggest things that stop me from doing my best in my media projects. So, during this summer break this year, I'd like to practice and teach myself to not procrastinate.
Lastly, my last summer goal that I want to help improve my media skills is trying new things. In my CKTV Media Class one of the biggest things that will help you in this class is to try new things. Yup! For example, you need to use your creative minds to think out of the box to create an interesting video. So that is why I want to try new things this summer break and use my mind to think differently and more creatively.
In conclusion, this is my summer goals I am setting for myself so I can improve in my media class next year. Again, this is my last week of blogs and also my last week of schools. So, I'll see you guys next school year! Have a great summer and, Aloha!
Hey Guys! For this week's free blog I'll be talking to you about a very cool movie I recently watched this weekend. That movie is,"Captain America Civil War." If you don't know me, my favorite movies has to be the awesome, action packed Marvel Comic Movies. Captain America Civil War is an awesome movie that will instantly catches your interest. Trust me, even if you aren't a big fan of action or super heroes, I promise you that you'll love this movie. Honestly, This movie has to be in my top 10 or if not than the top 3. So, this movie is pretty much where the government of the U.S is fearing the actions of the Avengers. Although they do their the best to save the world, it can also lead to damage as well. The government worries if it is worth the risk so the government decides to push an anti-hero restriction where the Avengers can go in action only under the government's control. Superhero, Iron Man, agrees but Captain America disagrees. These to heroes debate weather this should be allowed. As this battle escalates, the rest of the avengers as well as other super heroes need to decide who's side they are on. Finally, these two teams between Team Iron Man and team Captain America. Now, these super heroes go into battle in an all out war and fight for what they believe in! So yeah, this movie is pretty intense and like I said, you'll love it. So, here's the trailer and also, WHO'S SIDE ARE YOU ON?
Hey guys! For this week's blog topic, I'll be talking to you about 3 pieces of advice I want to share with the new CKTV 6th graders next year. Have you ever heard of ,"Dear Abby?" Well that was when a women named Abigail would give advice to people who ask for advice about anything. So, here is my 3 pieces of advice I'd like to share with those new incoming students.
First off, I want to tell the new students DO NOT PROCRASTINATE! As my first year experience I can tell you that one of the biggest things that stopped me from doing my best was procrastinating. Procrastinating is when someone has a task to be done at a certain time or deadline, and for some reason the person could be lazy and procrastinate and do it at the last minute. Laziness and procrastination is one of your biggest fears. So, I'm advising you to not be like me and procrastinate. Instead, don't be lazy and get your work done on time!
This next piece of advice might be a bit confusing but it's also important so bare with me. That pice of advise is ALWAYS ASK FOR HELP when it is needed. For me, this is really important because I am kinda shy when I'm around new friends so I don't talk much. This year in media, there are many, many events and activities that would be happening. Some can be new to you so it could be a bit confusing. But, if you need help with anything like learning how to edit, film, do radios, or morning announcements, you need to ask someone wether it's your partner, another returned student or even Mr.M. Otherwise, you will be stressed out or very confused on what's going on.
Finally, my last advise is kinda obvious but very important and that is too ALWAYS BE PREPARED in the many projects you do! As a student myself, there are many times where you are gonna be challenged some how. That's why I'm telling you to be prepared in anything you do. Be ready! I promise you if you if you are prepared you will be confident in yourself and do the best you can in anything!
In conclusion, here is my 3 pieces of advice I feel that you new CKTV students should use. I think these pieces of advise will definitely help you and like I said, If you follow this advise I think you will have a great time in this class. Trust me, this class will challenge you but it is one of the funnest class I've ever had!
Hey Guys! Aron here with another free blog. Today I'll be talking to you about another cool, funny video from my favorite youtuber Ryan Higa. This is another video of his serious called,"Dear Ryan." That is when people comment ,"Dear Ryan" and ask him to do something. For this video, someone asked him to do a basketball trickshot. The cool part about this video is that you'll see the trichshot is obviously fake because he cuts his shots to make it look real. But that is what makes it interesting. Here's the video and I'll see you in my blogs next week. Enjoy!
Hey guys! For this week's blog topic I am gonna update you about how my 4th quarter project is doing. This project we were assigned to make a video of our choice. I decided that I wanted to a sports trickshot video with my classmate, Destrey! So, I think that we're not that behind but also not that ahead. I think we are just about on schedule. Here are three reasons why.
First, coming up with a topic. Around second or third quarter I already knew I wanted to do a trickshot video for my 4th quarter project. So, once 4th quarter started I felt prepared. When making my T.I.A.S I didn't procrastinate and I did my T.I.A.S around a week early before the deadline was due. Since I got a 2 on my first draft I was lucky enough that I still had time to fix it and change it to a 4. And I did.
Next, once we finished our T.I.A.S we I had to work on our script. Same like the T.I.A.S I also did it on time. Also, since we had plenty of time to work on our script, we were lucky that we got a 4 on our first draft.
Finally, our filming. Because we got our 4 on our scripts we got the approval to go film. Me and Destrey decided to film this weekend with our friends. Our goal is to get everything we can do done by this weekend and we will finish it if we need to this week.
In Conclusion, here are three reasons why I feel I am on schedule. I think if Destrey and I don't procrastinate, we will do a great job and get a good grade. In addition, if I work hard on the goals that I set for myself this quarter I think it will help me too! That;s all the time I got, see you next time!
